| General information | You can find everything your heart desires in this rapidly developing capital.
The best time of year for an exchange would certainly be in summer. Then you can enjoy long trips around the city and its surrounding countryside, such as the Spree forest or the Wann lake. Berlin also offers an endless variety of cultural treasures: museums, theatres and art galleries are only a few of the many highlights to be discovered here. Berlin also boasts an exciting nightlife with numerous bars, clubs and discos and certainly something for everyone. |
| Studying conditions | The Zahnklinik Nord der Humboldt Universität of Berlin was established in 1983. The subjects of the basic course, such as anatomy, biochemistry and physiology, are taught in the central University buildings in the former East Berlin and in the Free University in the southern part of the city. The northern buildings of Humboldt University are solely responsible for the clinical part of the dental faculty. 40 students per term have their first practical experience here during a period of 5 terms.
The Freie University of Berlin was established in West Berlin in 1948 under the influence of the communist government. Located in the beautiful suburbs of Dahlem, these dental faculty buildings are only 10 minutes away from the city centre.
Over 750 students study dentistry here, equipping themselves for their future profession. Each student requires about 5 years as a rule to obtain the necessary requirements for their examinations. By the time they have reached this goal, they will have gone through many varied areas. |
