| General information | Ulm is located in the middle of southern Germany and has around 170,000 inhabitants. One can enjoy trips to nearby Stuttgart, Munich and Lake Constance. The town is famous for its cathedral whose tower is the tallest gothic construction in Germany. The romantic Old Town is full of historical houses as well as beautiful, cosy bars and inns where visitors can spend pleasant evenings. Being so near to the Alps means many excellent leisure activities such as skiing, hiking and cycling to be enjoyed as one discovers this beautiful countryside. |
| Studying conditions | Studying in Ulm means studying outside: the university is 6 km away from the town centre and surrounded by beautiful, big parks and green areas. Students can choose between many different faculties - biology, chemistry, mathematics and, of course, dentistry.There are around 6,000 students in Ulm and 600 in the dentistry faculty. Equal emphasis is placed on teaching and research. Students doing their practical training in Ulm can gain excellent experience for their future profession. |
